Renzo Martens’s artwork-cum-documentary Episode III: Enjoy Poverty depicts his journey through the Democratic Republic of the Congo. While in the Congo, Martens encourages the country’s poor to reconceptualize their poverty as a commodity rather than a state of being. The Enjoy Series Please was made in response to Episode III: Enjoy Poverty.
